Job Summary:

Position Title: Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Solutions
Location: Albany, NY, 12203
Duration: 1 Year
Where the work will be performed: Remote
Location of Resource: EST/Central Time Zone

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documenta on (including SOPs and How-to articles), flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Works with the software development manager to develop best practices and policies guides for software engineers and testers.
  • Performs peer review of code developed by fellow engineers.
  • Develops test scripts and runs tests to verify deliverables meet the documented requirements before passing to QA.
  • Mentors Software Engineers to make sure they are developing solutions according to established standards and methodologies.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Provides demos of built functionality to stakeholders.
  • Communicates future releases and enhancements.
  • Participates in daily standups to review work assignments and report on progress.
  • Maintains a high level of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and NYS Information Technology Security Policies.
  • Assists with creating, modifying, and maintaining enterprise reports.
  • Becomes familiar with and follows Client  policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench-marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Effectively communicate status, collaborate, and problem-solve with relevant stakeholders, including effectively escalating any project concerns with appropriate leaders.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage risk on projects.
  • Foster and contribute to a culture of excellence grounded in people development, learning, problem solving, and teamwork.
  • Understand and adhere to NYSERDA''s policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the NYSERDA''s IT Operations Team.

To be considered for this position, you should have:
  • Experience with the Salesforce technology stack to include OmniStudio, Business Rule Engine, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Apex, Visual Force, JavaScript, HTML, and flows.
  • Experience with Service and Sales Clouds.
  • Ability to read specifications and execute solutions that meet those specifications.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools.
  • Strong team builder with an ability to build productive relationships across a diverse organization.
  • Contributes ideas and suggestions to improve processes and systems.
  • Perform all job responsibilities with respect, fairness, consistency, and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills and an ability to work directly with stakeholders for solutioning and product demos.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Relevant technical certifications in Salesforce.
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as Jira.
  • OmniStudio.
  • Experience with the Salesforce technology stack to include OmniStudio, Business Rule Engine, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Apex, Visual Force, JavaScript, HTML, and flows.

Education, Certifications, Degree requirements:
  • A bachelor''s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in Salesforce development.
