**Certification Requirement: Willingness to obtain DoD IAT II Certification**

**Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support advanced data analysis, data engineering, and analytics initiatives in a secure, high-impact environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, SQL databases, data transformation, and statistical analysis, along with the ability to work with complex data sets and structured data formats.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively in an Agile environment and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.

**Required Qualifications**

U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
9+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong Python experience (data manipulation, scripting, analytics)
Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience with ETL/ELT data extraction, transformation, and data preparation
Experience working with data formats such as JSON, XML
Experience defining and managing data schemas and normalization standards
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Willingness to obtain DoD IAT II Certification

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience supporting cyber or network security operations
Experience with statistical analysis, data profiling, and data validation
Familiarity with command-line tools and shell scripting
Experience with Java and Maven
Experience deploying models/services using APIs, Docker, or Kubernetes
Experience working with RESTful APIs
Experience working in Agile environments
Strong communication and technical documentation skills

**Technical Environment**

Programming Languages: Python, SQL (Java is a plus)
Data Formats: JSON, XML, SQL Schemas, XSD, ECS
Tools & Technologies: PostgreSQL, APIs, Command-line tools
DevOps (Nice to Have): Docker, Kubernetes
