Data Warehouse Developer

Introduction:

The Data Warehouse Developer will be responsible for gathering requirements, developing technical specifications, designing ETL jobs, developing data loads, implementing change data capture, testing and debugging ETL processes, developing complex SQL, job scheduling, and loading data warehouses using ETL tools. Additionally, this role will involve managing multiple ETL tools, mentoring others on ETL development, and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering requirements and developing technical specifications for ETL - 6 years
• Using ETL tools to design ETL jobs (6 years, preferably 2 years with Alteryx)
• Developing various types of data loads (e.g. incremental, history/full, survivorship rules) - 6 years
• Implementing change data capture (CDC) - 4 years
• Testing and debugging ETL - 6 years
• Developing complex SQL - 6 years
• ETL job scheduling - 2 years
• Loading data warehouses using ETL tools - 2 years
• Managing multiple ETL tools
• Experience with data quality tools and frameworks
• Using source code version control software
• Mentoring others on ETL development
