AI PLATFORM ENGINEER
Pay: $40.00 - $47.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Montgomery, AL (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | 1-Year Contract, W2
Summary

We're seeking an AI Platform Engineer to support the administration, integration, operation, and ongoing support of enterprise Artificial Intelligence platforms. This role will work hands-on with technologies such as OpenAI/ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini while helping deliver secure, reliable, and scalable AI services across the organization. This position is ideal for candidates with cloud, platform, SaaS administration, DevOps, automation, or systems engineering experience who are looking to grow their expertise in enterprise AI.
Responsibilities
  • Administer and support enterprise AI platforms including OpenAI/ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini.
  • Configure platform settings, user access, permissions, workspaces, and service controls.
  • Support integrations, APIs, connectors, AI agents, automation tools, and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor service health, utilization, licensing, performance, logs, and alerts.
  • Troubleshoot platform, authentication, authorization, integration, and service issues.
  • Implement security, privacy, governance, and compliance controls.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Support provisioning, change management, and lifecycle management of AI services.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for AI-related incidents and service requests.
  • Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or similar technologies.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, identity, application, and business teams.
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, platform engineering, DevOps, automation, enterprise SaaS administration, technical support, or related disciplines.
  • At least 1 year of exposure to AI platforms, generative AI, intelligent automation, or AI-enabled enterprise tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud or SaaS platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing user access.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations, identity and access management, and technical documentation.

Preferred
  • Experience with OpenAI, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Google Gemini, or Vertex AI.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, JSON, workflow automation, or scripting.
  • Familiarity with IAM, RBAC, SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and security best practices.
  • Experience supporting AI agents, enterprise search, RAG solutions, connectors, or knowledge-based integrations.
  • Knowledge of IT service management processes including incident, change, and problem management.
