As a Stockroom and Production Control Clerk you will:

Job Description
  • Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory by receiving, issuing, identifying, counting, moving, storing, and packaging materials according to established procedures.
  • Pick and kit materials for production work orders.
  • Replenish production line materials as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Support all departments with stockroom and material requests.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
  • Process completed work orders and receive finished goods into inventory.
  • Monitor material shortages and communicate issues to planners and buyers.
  • Organize and store materials in a safe, orderly, and accessible manner.
  • Track inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities when needed.
  • Assist with work-in-process (WIP) audits and production inventory reviews.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Shipping to ensure timely material availability and accurate transactions.
  • Provide WIP status updates and support production scheduling to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Kaizen projects.
  • May assist with Shipping duties as needed:
    • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, labeling, quantity, documentation, and packaging.
    • Process receipts based on priority requirements.
    • Operate forklifts as required.
    • Prepare shipping documents and packing lists.
    • Pack and stage products for customer shipments.
    • Ensure compliance with export regulations and company policies.
    • Coordinate shipment schedules with Production, Planning, and Sales teams.

This is a Full-Time temp-to-hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Requires a high school education or equivalent (GED)
    • Minimum of 2-5 years closely related experience
    • Experience using an ERP system for material transactions
    • Intermediate Word & Excel skills to create spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
    • Ability to obtain forklift certification
    • Understands BOMs and Routings related to production workorders
    • Familiar with backflush/frontflush/kanban processes and point of use inventory
    • Ability to manage changing priorities and work with minimum supervision in a fast- paced environment
    • An understanding of inventory management procedures and terminology such as stocking locations, SKU\'s, inventory variances and cycle counting
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs
    • Some college experience preferred or material/inventory control certificates
    • U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data. ITAR regulations dictate that information and material pertaining to defense and military related technologies may only be shared with US Persons unless authorization from the Department of State is received or a special exemption is used
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications
    • Some college experience preferred or material/inventory control certificates
    • Knowledge of 7S methodology is a plus
    • Experience in writing work instructions and procedures is a plus
    • Experience or training in lean methodologies is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: $22/hr plus overtime as needed.
