Description Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Market Data Engineering to join the Data Technology team. You will lead the development of enterprise market-data systems that capture, redistribute, derive, and provide access to real-time and historical data. These capabilities support the firm's investment processes and platform across Equities, Macro, Commodities, and Credit.

Role Overview
  • Manage, mentor, and build a high-caliber team of developers and analysts.
  • Design and architect BAM's next-generation market-data platform, including ingestion of streaming and historical data from vendor data-consolidation platforms and internal APIs.
  • Develop scalable, resilient real-time data-processing and derivation engines, e.g. bars and NBBO.
  • Provide SDKs and platform interfaces that enable specialist teams to contribute derived-data calculations.
  • Define and execute the platform roadmap in close partnership with investment teams, translating business requirements into production-ready capabilities.
  • Deliver high-quality, production-grade systems that meet the firm's requirements for performance, availability, and recoverability.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience building or operating market-data systems.
  • Experience defining and operating agile SDLC processes to oversee development projects.
  • Hands-on experience developing real-time and historical market-data platforms.
  • Experience with low latency development patterns in in C++.
  • Experience supporting investment research and/or trade-execution workflows across multiple asset classes.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, resilient production systems.
  • Experience with Refinitiv and Bloomberg market-data APIs is desirable; experience with comparable enterprise market-data platforms is also relevant.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
