Position Overview

The client is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Application Developer to support the design, modernization, and enhancement of enterprise applications.

This is a senior-level technical role responsible for leading complex development initiatives, modernizing legacy applications to .NET Core, strengthening application security, and implementing database enhancements to improve overall system functionality and performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack development experience, deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, and the ability to mentor junior team members while delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement enterprise-level applications.

• Upgrade and modernize multiple legacy applications to the latest .NET Core version.

• Enhance database structures and application functionality to improve performance and scalability.

• Ensure application and database security, compliance, and privacy standards are met.

• Perform complex technical analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Configure and manage IIS environments.

• Deploy and support applications on Windows Server platforms (2016–2025).

• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

• Mentor and support less experienced developers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement improved processes and technologies.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following mandatory requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using multiple programming languages.

• Minimum 5+ years of direct database design and administration experience.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in application and database security, privacy, and compliance.

• Demonstrated experience upgrading applications to .NET Core.

Technical Skills

• Advanced to SME-level expertise in:

  • .NET Core (Required – SME)

  • C# (Required – SME)

  • .NET Framework (4.x)

  • VB.NET

  • SQL and Microsoft SQL Server

• Advanced knowledge of IIS configuration (IIS 11 preferred).

• Proficiency with Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.

• Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

The following skills are desirable but not required:

• IBM DB2

• Red Hat Linux (including zLinux and SUSE)

• Drupal Content Management System (CMS)

• Experience working in government or large enterprise environments

• Prior experience mentoring or leading development teams
