Summary

Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Developer (BTP)

Location: Newtown Square, PA (Onsite/Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in ABAP development, modern SAP architectures, and cloud-based extensions, delivering scalable and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex SAP ABAP applications across SAP landscapes

Lead development efforts leveraging SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) including extension applications

Build and enhance RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and OData services

Develop integrations using BTP services, APIs, and middleware tools (CPI/Integration Suite)

Collaborate with functional and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

Develop custom solutions in S/4HANA environments, including enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEF)

Optimize performance of ABAP programs and ensure adherence to coding standards

Work with Fiori/UI5 teams to enable backend services and support front-end applications

Support code reviews, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution

Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical leadership and mentorship

Required Qualifications

15+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development

Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Extension Suite)

Expertise in S/4HANA ABAP, including CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP

Experience building and consuming OData services and REST APIs

Experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI

Strong understanding of SAP architecture and data models

Proven experience in performance optimization and debugging

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications

Exposure to event-driven architecture and microservices on BTP

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in SAP landscape

SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, or BTP

Experience in global enterprise implementations
