Role Overview: The Onshore Solution Architect / Functional Lead will serve as the strategic and hands-on bridge between business objectives and the Salesforce platform. As a highly proactive driver of getting things done, this role focuses on unblocking the current enhancement backlog, optimizing data flow across systems, and ensuring Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds are fully leveraged to drive user adoption and CSAT. Additionally, this role will help drive the creation and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence and consistent platform governance.
Ideal Experience: 8–10+ years total IT/Business experience, with 5–7+ years dedicated to Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities & Expertise:
- Cross-Cloud Architecture & Hands-On Execution: Deep functional expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud. Ability to get hands-on in the platform to guide portal strategies for scheduling, invoice management, and future e-commerce gateways.
- Data & Integration Strategy: Possess a strong understanding of data architecture and functional data flow. Must be able to manage and optimize existing data pipelines, specifically overseeing the HubSpot-to-Sales Cloud lead routing process and the 6 downstream operating system integrations currently in place.
- Strategic Delivery Partnership: Work highly strategically with Delivery Lead to execute platform goals. Delivery Lead will own all primary stakeholder alignment; this role is focused on providing the architectural and functional solutions to support those stakeholders.
- Enhancement Delivery & SOPs: Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. Drive the creation and management of SOPs to streamline the proposal management process and prepare the data model for future scale.
- Ecosystem Management: Proven experience managing third-party app ecosystems, specifically document generation and storage workflows utilizing Conga, DocuSign, and AWS.
Day-in-the-Life / Daily Activities:
- Morning Sync (US Hours): Review overnight deployment logs and status updates from the Offshore Developer.
- Strategic Sync with Delivery Lead: Lead working sessions with Delivery Lead to align strategic objectives, review gathered requirements for upcoming Experience Cloud features (e.g., the scheduling capability and customer profile portal), and ensure functional execution supports stakeholder needs.
- Backlog Grooming & Execution: Act as the hands-on driver to triage incoming requests, separating immediate L1/L2 support needs from strategic enhancement work, ensuring the offshore development queue is properly prioritized and getting done.
- Solution Design: Map out functional data flows (e.g., mapping how HubSpot leads transition into standard proposals without CPQ).
- Afternoon Handoff: Conduct a daily crossover stand-up with the Offshore Developer in India to review functional requirements, unblock technical issues, and set priorities for their upcoming shift.
Required Tools & Technologies:
- Core Platform: Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds (Setup, Flow Builder, Process Builder).
- Agile & ALM: Jira, Rally; Confluence for documentation.
- Data Architecture & Analytics: Salesforce Data Loader, Workbench, Salesforce Inspector, ETL tools, Snowflake, Data Fabrics.
- Process Mapping: Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio.
Ecosystem: HubSpot, Conga Composer, DocuSign eSignature.
