Position Overview
IntePros is seeking an experienced Software Engineer, Data to support a growing B2B data and marketing technology organization. This company processes large volumes of digital activity and intent data, transforming it into actionable intelligence that helps sales and marketing teams better understand prospective customers and market behavior.
This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on building and supporting the systems that ingest, process, enrich and deliver data at scale. The successful candidate will use Python, AWS and modern data technologies to develop reliable applications and pipelines that support customer-facing data products.
This is not a traditional reporting or business intelligence position. The ideal candidate is a software engineer who specializes in data-intensive systems and is comfortable owning technical work from design through deployment and production support.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable data applications and processing pipelines
Develop reliable, production-quality software using Python
Build and support data ingestion, transformation and enrichment processes
Process large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Develop and maintain workflows using Airflow or a comparable orchestration platform
Build cloud-based solutions within an AWS environment
Contribute to event-driven and distributed system architecture
Improve the performance, scalability and reliability of existing applications and pipelines
Create automated tests and participate in peer code reviews
Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions
Monitor data quality, pipeline health, application availability and processing performance
Contribute to technical architecture decisions and technology selection
Collaborate with software engineering, data engineering, data science and product teams
Document system architecture, technical processes and application behavior
Required Qualifications
Five or more years of professional software engineering or data engineering experience
Strong hands-on Python development experience in a production environment
Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines or data-intensive applications
Experience developing solutions within AWS
Experience with Airflow or another workflow-orchestration platform
Strong understanding of SQL, data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts
Familiarity with event-driven architecture or distributed data-processing systems
Understanding of software development practices, including automated testing, code reviews, version control and CI/CD
Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications or data pipelines
Ability to independently own projects from initial design through implementation
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work onsite in Norwood, Massachusetts approximately two days per week
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with dbt, Snowflake or Databricks
Experience developing backend services or data APIs using FastAPI, Django or a similar framework
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or comparable deployment technologies
Experience with AWS event-driven services and cloud-native application design
Experience ingesting and processing high-volume third-party or public data
Experience with entity resolution, identity graphs, data enrichment or web data
Previous experience supporting B2B data, marketing technology, advertising technology or other data-driven products
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can explain how they have personally built and supported production data systems. They should be comfortable discussing the architecture behind their work, the code they developed, the volume and types of data processed, and how they addressed failures, retries, testing, monitoring and data-quality issues.
Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on dashboards, reporting, requirements gathering or data governance without hands-on software development may not be aligned with this position.
