Salesforce Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Functional Lead to bridge the gap between business needs and Salesforce solutions. This role will lead end-to-end business process modernization initiatives by translating business operations and requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

The Functional Lead will own discovery and requirements gathering, guide Business Analysts, configure Salesforce solutions where appropriate, and serve as a trusted functional advisor to client stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong business process expertise, hands-on Salesforce configuration skills, and the ability to confidently lead client workshops and translate business requirements into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and process-mapping sessions with business stakeholders.
• Ask probing questions to uncover business needs, process gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Document business processes, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and specifications that development teams can effectively execute.
• Frame and scope work for Business Analysts, provide functional guidance, review deliverables, and ensure consistency across projects.
• Act as the functional bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business objectives into buildable Salesforce requirements.
• Translate technical constraints and considerations into clear business language for stakeholders.
• Configure Salesforce solutions directly when appropriate, including:
• Salesforce Flows
• Validation Rules
• Page Layouts
• Record Types
• Permission Sets
• Other declarative Salesforce functionality
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test-script development, tester coordination, and defect triage.
• Partner with Delivery and Project Leads to scope change requests and accurately estimate functional effort.
• Build strong relationships with business owners, power users, operational teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal delivery standards, templates, documentation practices, and onboarding resources.
• Help improve delivery methodologies and leverage AI-enabled approaches to increase delivery speed, quality, and client outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Salesforce Business Analysis or Functional Consulting experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading requirements and functional activities on complex Salesforce projects.
• Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience; comfortable building and configuring solutions directly within Salesforce.
• Strong business-process and analytical mindset, with the ability to map workflows, identify gaps, and design practical Salesforce solutions.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing stakeholders at multiple levels, from operational users to senior executives.
• Strong workshop facilitation skills and the ability to confidently lead requirements and discovery sessions.
• Salesforce Administrator certification required.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create clear and actionable user stories, requirements, and functional specifications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with project and delivery tools such as Jira or Asana.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to guide and elevate other members of the delivery team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the staffing, recruiting, workforce management, or HR technology space.
• Salesforce Business Analyst certification and/or additional Salesforce Cloud certifications.
• Experience with staffing-industry technology ecosystems, including:
• ATS platforms such as Bullhorn, Assist, TargetRecruit, or similar systems
• VMS platforms
• Middle- and back-office systems
• Staffing-related financial and operational platforms
• Experience modernizing complex business processes and translating them into Salesforce-based solutions.
• Experience working with AI-enabled delivery methodologies or tools.
