Summary

Job Number: R0251748

Network Engineer
The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable our client to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Air Force needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing and forwarding to support the nation's defense. You'll upgrade and develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures as we expand from on-prem to the cloud and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You'll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to assist our client with their critical needs.

Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, and emerging technologies will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, cloud migration, optical infrastructure networking, virtual routing and forwarding, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or network security
  • Experience integrating commercial cloud environments with on-prem enterprise network services and security architectures
  • Experience implementing VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, gateways, private endpoints, and segmented network designs
  • Experience with BGP, route advertisement and filtering, IP address management, Domain Name System (DNS), Network Address Translation (NAT), proxies, firewalls, high availability, and network monitoring
  • Ability to document designs, test procedures, operational runbooks, and security requirements and troubleshoot complex routing, DNS, firewall, certificate, MTU, latency, packet-loss, and connectivity issues
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Ansible, APIs, or scripting
  • Experience with network observability platforms, flow logs, SNMP, packet capture, NetFlow, dashboards, and alerting
  • Experience supporting critical enterprise networks or network security assessments in a government or regulated environment
  • Experience designing networks for virtualized, containerized, hybrid cloud, or highly available environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
  • CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Red Hat RHCSA, RHCE, VMware VCP, VACP, Azure Network Engineer, or AWS Cloud Engineer Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
