Pay Rate : $45- $51/hr
We have an immediate need for a Sr. Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer Big Data & Python to join our team in Hartford, CT 06156. This role is based in the US, and candidates are expected to work from office.This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data transformation initiatives in a fast-paced environment supporting enterprise-level data platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures and engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will work extensively with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Composer, and Dataproc to build robust data pipelines and modernize legacy systems. The position requires strong experience in data warehousing, including Teradata, BTEQ, and complex SQL, along with hands-on expertise in building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python or Java. You will also be involved in translating and refactoring legacy Teradata logic into Google Cloud Platform-based solutions while ensuring performance optimization and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to CI/CD practices using tools like GIT and Argo CD will be a key part of this role.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform core services and advanced proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks. A solid background in data architecture and engineering, along with hands-on experience in cloud-based data environments, is essential. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems is required. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting capabilities, and effective communication skills are critical for success in this role. Experience in the healthcare domain and Google Cloud Platform certifications will be considered a plus.
