Job Description
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our agile team delivering across multiple integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test strategy, automation with Playwright or Selenium, API and database testing, and QA leadership and a proven ability to design and execute end-to-end testing, drive defect resolution, and enable rapid delivery with managed risk.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a core QE member within an agile team.
- Review, challenge, and clarify business and technical requirements.
- Estimate testing effort and build realistic test plans.
- Design, create, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Partner with developers and analysts to build effective test coverage.
- Own defect tracking end to end. Prioritize, escalate, and drive resolution.
- Support UAT and Go Live including triage and readiness recommendations.
- Apply test data management practices to identify and leverage data sets.
- Lead testing ceremonies, track metrics, and report status with clarity.
- Provide go/no-go recommendations based on quantified risk.
- Optimize testing approaches under tight timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years in Quality Engineering or QA with end-to-end ownership.
- Experience with Loan Origination or Loan Servicing systems.
- Strong automation background with Playwright or Selenium, including framework-level design.
- Proven ability to lead testing across multiple integrated systems.
- Solid backend testing skills including API testing and database validation.
- Strong SQL with the ability to write complex queries.
- Experience working with Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing practices.
- Clear communication skills to articulate risk and status.
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple workstreams in dynamic environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience as a QA lead or SME.
- Financial services experience beyond lending.
- Experience improving or scaling QE processes.
