The Manager of Data Engineering sits at a critical intersection of deep technical execution and high-impact client engagement. In this hybrid leadership role, you will manage a talented team of data engineers while serving as a strategic technical liaison for clients during complex migrations, integrations, and system go-lives.
This position offers a unique balance of team mentorship, hands-on architectural oversight, and cutting-edge innovation. You will directly spearhead the adoption of AI agents and LLM-driven workflows to revolutionize modern ETL processes and automate complex data investigations.

responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a growing team of data engineers, setting clear performance benchmarks and fostering an innovative, collaborative environment.
- Client-Facing Data Strategy: Act as the primary technical liaison for external stakeholders. Audit client data environments, resolve migration or integration bottlenecks, and translate complex client requirements into actionable development roadmaps.
- Strategic Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning, scoping, and flawless execution of complex data engineering initiatives across cross-functional departments.
- Hands-on Technical Architecture: Ensure the optimal design, health, and scalability of data pipelines, warehouses, and databases, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and availability.
- Agentic Workflows & Automation: Lead the integration of advanced AI frameworks and Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate data mapping, extraction, and unstructured data ingestion.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a formal leadership, management, or team lead capacity.
- Proven track record in a customer-facing or consultative role with excellent communication skills; highly capable of evaluating client environments and articulating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Robust experience with data modeling, building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Strong expertise with relational database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and foundational familiarity with major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on exposure to deploying or orchestrating agentic workflows, LLMs, or automated data extraction/transformation frameworks.
