is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead the development of a mission-critical commercial software platform used by healthcare organizations across North America and internationally.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing product development organization that is modernizing a well-established software platform while helping lead the development of its next-generation cloud architecture.

This is a fully remote position for candidates residing within the continental United States.

Position Overview

This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple software engineering teams while providing technical direction, organizational leadership, and strategic planning across a customer-facing enterprise software platform.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and executive leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions while building and developing a high-performing engineering organization.

This position combines technical leadership, people leadership, hiring, mentoring, software delivery, and engineering process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering managers, technical leads, and engineers.
  • Build and scale a high-performing engineering organization.
  • Drive software delivery across multiple development teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to deliver customer-focused software solutions.
  • Lead engineering planning, resource allocation, and project execution.
  • Improve software development processes using Agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
  • Partner with leadership to define long-term technology strategy and product roadmap.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Support modernization efforts as the organization continues its transition toward cloud-native technologies.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of software development experience within a product development or software engineering environment.
  • 8+ years leading engineering teams.
  • Experience managing software managers, technical leads, and engineers.
  • Experience delivering customer-facing commercial software products.
  • Strong background with Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Proven experience building and growing engineering organizations.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Healthcare software, medical device, or other regulated industry experience.
  • Experience with React or modern web technologies.
  • Experience with Windows desktop technologies.
  • Experience with software security and secure development practices.
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted development tools.
  • Agile or Scrum certifications.
