Summary

Responsibilities

Build and deploy 15 Microsoft Windows Server 2019 virtual machines within a Hyper-V environment.
Configure servers in both UAT and Production environments following established infrastructure standards.
Install and configure Windows Server 2019 on newly created virtual machines.
Perform server hardening using Group Policy and manual policy configuration to meet internal security requirements.
Submit newly built servers to the Information Security team for compliance validation and security scans.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation, configuration, and Group Policy related issues.
Deploy Microsoft Defender across approximately 115 existing Windows Server 2019 servers and assist with the removal of the current Trellix antivirus solution.
Collaborate closely with the client s infrastructure and technical engineering teams to ensure successful server deployment and security compliance.
Document configurations and ensure all servers meet organizational security and operational standards prior to handoff.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience building and deploying servers in a Hyper-V virtualized environment.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 administration and deployment.
Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
Knowledge of server hardening and security compliance processes.
Experience installing and managing endpoint security solutions, such as Microsoft Defender.
Ability to troubleshoot server builds, OS installation issues, and Group Policy conflicts.
Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with internal engineering teams.
