The client is looking for someone who not only knows and uses Kubernetes but also understands the ins and outs of Kubernetes.

Must haves:

7+ years experience in infrastructure engineering-DevOps, Platform Engineering, CI/CD, Containerization
- Terraform
- GitOps practices
2+ years working with containers, specifically Kubernetes
- Understanding ecosystem around Kubernetes -
  - Managing upwards of hundreds of clusters, or a cluster with hundreds of nodes
  - Containerization security - OPA (Open Policy Agent)
  - Istio-open-source service
GKE or other similar platforms like AKS, EKS, RKE, or openshift having deep understanding of helm charts

Nice to haves:

Ideally Google Cloud Platform / GKE

Responsibilities/Role:

Build and manage secure and reliable Kubernetes/containerization platform at scale ( few hundreds clusters or a cluster with few hundred nodes)
CNCF packages like Istio, argocd, K8s security Opa, Prometheus, Ingress gateway as well as deploying,
Managing, upgrading at scale on large volumes of kubernetes cluster and using these packages efficiently
Running production workloads on GKE or other similar platforms like AKS, EKS, RKE or openshift having deep understanding of helm charts
Worked on hashicorp vault, Github Actions, CICD and Terraform
