GIS Developer

We are seeking a skilled technical GIS Developer to design, code, and configure custom enterprise mapping solutions. In this role, you will build and integrate secure, maintainable web and mobile applications within an enterprise IT ecosystem.

Quick Details

• Position: Esri ArcGIS Developer 2
• Location: Atlanta, GA (Zip: 30308)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Preference for local candidates or those able to work a split remote/in-office schedule)
• Interview Mode: Web Cam or In-Person
• Shift: EST (Fixed 8-hour schedule, Mon Fri)

Core Skills Required (Must-Haves)

• Programming & Scripting: 4+ years of experience with Python / ArcPy and SQL / PL/SQL.
• Esri Architecture: 3+ years managing ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, or Hub as an Administrator.
• GIS Services: 3+ years developing ArcGIS Server services and GeoProcessing services.
• Front-End Design: 3+ years utilizing Esri Web/Experience Builder and Arcade.
• Desktop Tools: 2+ years working with ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap.
• Web Technologies: Proficiency in modern web development including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Git, and frameworks like Angular or React.

Bonus Skills (Highly Desired)

• Esri JavaScript SDK: Ability to develop custom widgets from scratch.
• Specialized Esri Tech: GeoEvent Server/Velocity, Roads and Highways, or Image Server.
• Transportation GIS: Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS), dynamic segmentation, and transportation data models.
• ETL & Data Management: Multi-user versioned geodatabase administration and SafeSoftware FME.
• Certifications: URISA GISP or Esri Developer/Enterprise certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop customized web, mobile, and enterprise GIS mapping solutions.
• Upgrade and migrate existing applications/services to current system architectures.
• Automate data processing via ETL scripts.
• Conduct performance, unit, and integration testing while ensuring strict data security.

Key Terms & Conditions

• The candidate's first day must be completed onsite in Atlanta, GA for onboarding and equipment collection (travel for onboarding is not reimbursed).
• Candidates must have full-time residency within the Atlanta Metro area / State of Georgia or be willing to relocate immediately at their own expense.
• No extended leave (>1 week) is permitted during the first year of service.
