Role Summary

The client is seeking a Workday Lead / Senior Consultant to guide and drive the large‑scale transition from Oracle to Workday Finance... This role will provide technical leadership, strategic decision-making, and hands-on mentorship to internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Workday Finance implementation and transition effort.
• Serve as the primary Workday Subject Matter Expert for the Finance organization.
• Drive solution design, configuration strategies, and Workday best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate build vs. train vs. contractor approaches.
• Provide estimates for effort, timelines, and market rates for Workday resources.
• Oversee report development, system integrations, and data accuracy.
• Train and guide internal team members with limited or no Workday background.
• Provide governance, risk management, and issue resolution across the program.
• Ensure smooth go-live and post-implementation stabilization.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with Workday Finance modules.
• Proven experience leading Workday implementations or migration projects.
• Hands on experience in design and building workday financial components
• Core finance
• AP supplier management
• Banking and settlement
• T&E

Preferred Skills / Nice-to-Haves

• Advanced experience with Workday Reporting
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience using Python for analytics or automation
• Prior work managing contractors or vendor teams
• Experience mentoring teams without prior Workday exposure
