Summary

Data Scientist

Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States (U.S.) Navy and Marine Corps.

This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026

Position Summary:
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve organizational outcomes using data, builds and overseeing predictive models to tell stories with data that highlight Client insights

Clearance Requirements:
Fully adjudicated Top-Secret clearance (SCI eligibility).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Specializes in turning complex data into actionable insights using statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Predicts trends and informs strategic decisions through deep data analysis and risk modeling.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Math preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with 6-8 years specifically executing data science projects.
Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel)
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
