Summary

A premier insurance services client is seeking a Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying core claim-handling solutions. The position focuses heavily on implementing business rules, modifying data models, configuring UI screens, and migrating claims workflows from legacy platforms onto the centralized Guidewire ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (such as Java or C#) but must be working directly with Guidewire''s proprietary configuration language (Gosú) on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • System Configuration: Design and configure ClaimCenter components including UI architecture (pcf screens), data models, wizard flows, activities, and validation rules.

  • Business Logic Development: Write clean, optimized, and maintainable business logic using Gosú according to Guidewire best practices.

  • Integration Support: Assist integration teams with building and troubleshooting plugins, messaging queues, and web services (SOAP/REST APIs) to connect ClaimCenter with third-party vendors.

  • Data Migration & Extraction: Participate in loading, transforming, and validating historic claims data being migrated from older legacy applications into the new Guidewire platform.

  • Agile Collaboration: Participate daily in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, managing work increments, features, and system bug resolutions through tracking software like Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Defect Triage: Complete technical root-cause analysis on defects escalated by QA teams or business analysts during functional and regression testing cycles.

  1. Guidewire ClaimCenter Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with configuration, data modeling, and screen layout adjustments within ClaimCenter (Version 10 / Aspen / Flurry preferred).

  2. Gosú Programming: Strong core development experience writing business rules, plugins, and enhancements utilizing Guidewire''s native Gosú language.

  3. Insurance Domain Knowledge: A solid functional understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) commercial or personal lines insurance lifecycle, specifically around claims intake (FNOL), adjudication, reserves, and financial components.

Top 3 Preferred Skills

  1. Integration Frameworks: Familiarity with configuring Guidewire Edge APIs, Guidewire Cloud Integration frameworks, or messaging plugins.

  2. SQL & Reporting: Proficient in writing SQL queries to investigate backend relational database architectures during system migrations or custom report design.

  3. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical architectures into business-actionable terminology for non-technical team leads.
