Job description:
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Coordination
Support or lead planning, execution, and delivery of transmission projects
Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams
Step in for Lead PM when needed and progressively take on ownership
Project Planning & Controls
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Assist with project controls, reporting, and performance tracking
Support execution of intermediate to complex projects
Stakeholder Communication
Provide clear and accurate project updates
Lead meetings and contribute to project presentations
Build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Procurement & Contracts
Support RFP development, vendor selection, and contract management
Assist with procurement planning and contractor oversight
Ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements
Safety & Continuous Improvement
Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to safety processes
Identify opportunities to improve project execution, cost, and efficiency
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field + 3+ years experience
OR
Associate degree + 5+ years relevant experience
Relevant Experience Includes
Project management or project coordination
Construction, engineering, or utility-related environments
Project controls, estimating, scheduling, or contract management
Safety, scope development, and quality control
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in utilities or transmission projects strongly preferred
Joint venture project experience is a plus
Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes
Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies and PM tools.
