SEO Lead - Global Web Ecosystem for Top local Health Technology Company
Loacation: Alemda , CA ( onsite 5 days a week )
We are seeking an SEO Lead to own search performance across a large, multinational web ecosystem spanning more than 30 sites in over 28 markets. This role is designed for someone who thrives in hands-on execution and takes pride in driving measurable SEO outcomes through both strategy and action.

This global network of websites currently ranks among the highest within its enterprise benchmark. Your core responsibility is to maintain and improve that standing by staying ahead of issues, monitoring performance, and ensuring the technical and content foundation remains consistently optimized.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive Execution (Shift-Left Mentality)
You will operate directly within the development and deployment workflow, ensuring SEO requirements are addressed early. This involves identifying issues in the development environment, raising and tracking tickets, and preventing suboptimal code or metadata from reaching production. Once an issue hits production, the opportunity for proactive optimization has already been lost.
Tactical Ownership
You are the single-threaded owner of search visibility across the ecosystem. This role is heavily execution-focused. You will define the approach and also carry out the work-raising tickets, prioritizing remediation tasks, validating fixes, and ensuring end-to-end accountability.
Evolving the Playbook (SEO to GEO/AIO)
As search evolves beyond traditional SEO into AI-driven discovery, you will lead the shift toward Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO). Your work will ensure the organization's content remains authoritative, accurate, and preferred by LLM-based answer engines.
Resource Orchestration
You will oversee a dedicated, full-time content author. Your role includes directing their workload, prioritizing high-impact content updates, and making sure content quality remains aligned with technical performance across all markets.
Measures of Success
Maintaining top-tier SEO and performance scores across a large global portfolio
Ensuring clean releases with issues caught before production
Progressing the organization's maturity toward GEO/AIO readiness
Providing consistency and quality across 30+ market sites
Supporting cross-functional teams with clarity and timely execution
Qualifications
Strong experince in hands-on SEO execution
Experience working within complex, multi-site digital environments
Ability to navigate technical delivery workflows
Experience or interest in GEO/AIO concepts
Strong communication and prioritization skills
Ability to manage content-focused resources

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
