Job Title: SAP Deployment, Testing, Hypercare & Product Coordination Lead
Job Summary

The SAP Deployment, Testing, Hypercare & Product Coordination Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end activities across deployment planning, testing execution, go-live support (hypercare), and ongoing product coordination. This role ensures seamless transition from build to deployment, stabilizes the system post go-live, and aligns business stakeholders with product capabilities and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP Deployment Management
  • define and execute deployment strategy and cutover plans for SAP implementations (S/4HANA, ECC, or cloud solutions)
  • coordinate release schedules, environments, and transport management across landscapes
  • lead cutover planning, rehearsals, and execution to ensure smooth go-live
  • manage dependencies across functional, technical, and integration teams
  • ensure readiness of data migration, interfaces, security, and reporting prior to deployment
2. Testing Leadership (SIT, UAT, Regression)
  • define and implement the overall SAP testing strategy and governance
  • oversee all testing phases: unit testing validation (support role) system integration testing (SIT) user acceptance testing (UAT) regression testing (automation where applicable)
  • ensure test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
  • collaborate with business users to drive UAT sign-off
  • track and report test progress, defect status, and risks
  • ensure test tools usage (e.g., SolMan, Tricentis, HP ALM, Jira)
3. Hypercare / Go-Live Support
  • lead hypercare planning and execution post go-live
  • establish war room processes and support models
  • triage and prioritize production issues for resolution
  • coordinate across functional, technical, and BASIS teams for issue resolution
  • monitor system stability, performance, and business continuity
  • ensure knowledge transfer from project team to support/AMS team
  • define exit criteria for hypercare phase
4. Product Coordination / Business Alignment
  • act as a bridge between business stakeholders and SAP product teams
  • manage product backlog, enhancements, and functional changes
  • ensure alignment between business processes and SAP capabilities
  • support release planning and prioritization of enhancements
  • coordinate cross-functional integration topics (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • align SAP roadmap with business transformation goals
5. Stakeholder & Governance Management
  • collaborate with: business process owners IT leadership system integrators and vendors
  • provide regular status reporting, dashboards, and KPIs
  • manage risks, issues, and escalation processes
  • support steering committee updates and governance forums
Required Skills & Experience
SAP & Functional Knowledge
  • strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA or ECC landscapes
  • experience across multiple SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP)
  • knowledge of integration points and cross-functional processes
Deployment & Testing Expertise
  • hands-on experience with: SAP deployment/cutover planning SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles
  • familiarity with testing tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, Tricentis, ALM, Jira)
Hypercare & Support
  • experience managing post-go-live support and stabilization
  • strong issue triage and production support coordination skills
Product / Program Coordination
  • experience in Agile, hybrid SAP delivery models, or product-based organizations
  • backlog management and release planning experience
Soft Skills
  • strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments
  • strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP certification (S/4HANA or functional module-specific)
  • experience with global SAP rollouts or transformation programs
  • familiarity with cloud deployments (RISE with SAP, SAP BTP)
  • experience in automation and DevOps practices within SAP
