Overview
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join a cross-functional squad focused on building analytics capabilities that support commercial sales strategy. This role will analyze large-scale healthcare pricing data and generate insights that inform competitive positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze machine-readable healthcare pricing data (MRFs) to evaluate cost and pricing dynamics
  • Compare internal pricing logic vs. external vendor tools (e.g., Milliman, Turquoise)
  • Develop quantitative models and statistical analyses to assess pricing competitiveness
  • Translate complex findings into clear, business-facing insights
  • Partner with product, underwriting, and sales stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
  • Build data pipelines, queries, and analytical frameworks in a cloud environment
  • Create visualizations and prototypes to communicate insights (Tableau/Looker)
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership within a squad model

Required Skills
  • Advanced SQL (must-have)Strong experience querying large datasets in cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, etc.)
  • Python (advanced proficiency)Data manipulation, analysis, and statistical modeling
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, pricing analysis, or large-scale data comparisons
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Have
  • Healthcare domain experience (payer, claims, pricing)
  • Experience with statistical modeling or ML
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, benchmarking, or market analysis

Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and storytelling ability
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
  • Collaborative mindset within cross-functional teams
