Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support complex Workday integrations for enterprise HR and business operations.

This role requires strong expertise across Workday HCM modules, including Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Security, along with hands-on experience in building scalable integration solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering enterprise-wide initiatives, optimizing integration frameworks, and mentoring junior engineers.

This is a high-impact, senior-level role requiring both hands-on technical expertise and strategic ownership of Workday integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Integration & Development

·        Lead the design, development, and support of complex Workday integrations across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Security.

·        Build and maintain integration solutions using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, CIC+, APIs, and SSO.

·        Design and implement Workday Orchestrations to automate business processes and workflows.

·        Leverage Workday Extend to build and support custom applications.

Enterprise Initiatives & Delivery

·        Support enterprise programs including Workday Public Cloud Migration, Workday Everywhere, EDM, and vendor integrations.

·        Perform impact analysis, remediation, and bulk updates related to tenant migrations, reference IDs, and system changes.

·        Support production cutovers, stabilization activities, and ongoing system enhancements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

·        Partner with HRIT, Security/IAM, Network, Infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

·        Collaborate across teams to ensure integration solutions meet performance, compliance, and reliability standards.

·        Lead and support M&A integrations, including coordination across multiple Workday tenants.

Standards, Monitoring & Optimization

·        Establish and enhance integration standards, monitoring frameworks, and error handling processes.

·        Continuously improve system performance and reduce operational risks through proactive optimization.

·        Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Mentorship

·        Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers by providing guidance, code reviews, and best practices.

·        Contribute to the development of standards, policies, and procedures for Workday integrations.

·        Lead high-impact projects and influence technical decision-making across the organization.

Required Qualifications

·        8–12+ years of experience in Workday HCM technical development and integrations

·        Strong hands-on experience with:

o   Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors (CIC+), APIs, SSO

o   Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrations

·        Expertise in Workday HCM modules including Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Security

·        Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-level Workday integrations

·        Strong understanding of integration architecture, security, and data flows

·        Experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives and system migrations

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

·        Experience supporting Workday Cloud migration or multi-tenant environments

·        Prior experience in M&A integration projects

·        Ability to influence and contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions
