This Staff Consultant role designs AWS migration strategy and executes migration waves from on-premises or legacy platforms to AWS. The consultant is expected to operate as an embedded AWS SME, provide hands-on implementation support, and create audit-ready technical documentation aligned to regulated Financial Services delivery expectations.
Role Scope & Key Responsibilities
· Hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise
· Proficiency with AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, CloudWatch,)
· Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and AWS GenAI service offerings
· Strong experience building and managing Jenkins pipelines and GitLab CI/CD
· Experience with version control workflows (GitLab preferred)

· AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), 7 R''s migration strategy and migration-wave planning
· Hands-on Experience with Terraform Enterprise: Proven ability to design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform Enterprise, including state management, workspaces, and policy as code.
· Proficiency with Core AWS Services:
a. Deep knowledge of AWS VPC (networking, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs).
b. Experience provisioning and managing EC2 instances (launch templates, autoscaling, AMIs).
c. Strong understanding of IAM (roles, policies, permission boundaries, least-privilege access).
d. Practical experience with S3 (buckets, lifecycle policies, encryption, access controls).
e. Familiarity with CloudWatch (metrics, logs, alarms, dashboards, custom monitoring).
· AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), VM Import/Export and AWS Transform for VMware / server migrations
· AWS DMS and Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) for heterogeneous database migration patterns
· Landing zones using AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs, VPC, Direct Connect / VPN and Route 53 cutover
· Terraform, AWS CDK and CloudFormation for repeatable target-state infrastructure
· Familiarity with Generative AI and AWS GenAI Services:
a. Understanding of Generative AI concepts and practical use cases.
b. Exposure to AWS GenAI offerings (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker JumpStart, Lex, Polly, Transcribe, Comprehend, Rekognition, or similar).
· CI/CD and Automation:
a. Strong experience building and managing Jenkins pipelines (scripted and declarative).
b. Experience with GitLab CI/CD for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
c. Ability to integrate AWS deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
Financial Services & Industry Skills (added)
· Large regulated financial-services delivery with formal change-control, audit and risk governance
· Operational resilience expectations including RTO/RPO, multi-region DR and evidence for audit review
· Awareness of applicable controls and regulations such as DORA, NIST CSF 2.0, PCI DSS, SEC cyber rules, RegSCI and SIFMU/FMI expectations where relevant
· Ability to create Tech Risk-ready documentation including ADRs, runbooks, design docs, threat models and validation evidence
· Clear communication with client engineering, security, SRE, data and platform stakeholders as an embedded SME
