The Boeing Company is seeking a Simulation Integration Engineer to join our team within the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) in Long Beach, CA. The individual selected will develop, document and maintain hardware and simulation software, algorithms, interfaces, and test plans based upon defined requirements.

In this role you will develop and maintain code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system and perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.

We are looking for someone that is a proactive self-starter who communicates effectively, works well in a team environment, and is eager to learn and apply best practices in simulation, integration, and verification.

The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to Southern California Aeronautical System Integration & Test (ASIT) program deliverables for multiple airplane programs. The scope of responsibility includes simulation system design, integration and sustaining support of System Integration Labs (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulators (HILS), and Flight Management System (FMS) Labs. A strong background in software systems, networks, debugging, and electrical engineering is preferred.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Entry-Level or Associate Level Simulation Integration Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Support system integration, test, and debugging for simulation systems leveraging computer engineering, electrical engineering, and systems understanding
  • Works hands on in a lab environment to develop solutions that support customer testing and troubleshooting needs
  • Assists in coordinating and communicating with internal and external customers
  • Supports development of lab test readiness
  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data. Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
  • Prepares test documentation for review
  • Conduct design and test reviews with customers and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience with C/C++ coding or java/python script development
  • Experience in software development and configuration management (CM) tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hands-on experience in a lab environment, performing software and hardware integration
  • Experience developing, performing, and improving software and/or hardware test procedures
  • Master's degree in systems, simulation, software engineering, or computer engineering

Summary Pay Range for Entry-Level (Level 1): $79,050 - $106,950

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $98,600 - $133,400
