Job Description
The SharePoint Platform Engineer owns engineering and operational support for a cloud-only SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration environment, including AI-enabled tools and capabilities such as Copilot. This role focuses on administration, automation, governance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 services.
Required Skills
- 3 5+ years of experience supporting SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment. Strong troubleshooting skills related to site management, authentication, permissions, and client issues. Experience supporting SharePoint integrations and automation solutions in an enterprise environment. Ability to work within enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks. Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation and collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Must have Strong relatable personality with the ability to speak about technical details with the team and leadership
Job Requirements
- Support SharePoint integrations with Microsoft 365 services such as OneDrive, external sharing, and AI-enabled tools and capabilities such as Copilot. Improve solutions for document management, workflows, and team collaboration, and help drive user adoption through standards and guidance. Resolve issues involving permissions, external sharing, data access, connectors, and compliance controls. Support governance and administration for tools such as Power Automate, AvePoint, and eShare. Work with engineering, security, and product teams to maintain platform standards and governance. Build and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, administration, governance, and operations. Develop workflow and governance solutions using SharePoint, AvePoint, eShare, and AI-enabled tools and capabilities such as Copilot. Improve support processes, reduce manual work, and enhance user experience. Lead complex incident investigations and root-cause analysis for SharePoint and collaboration issues. Guide Service Desk and Tier 2 teams to reduce escalations. Document runbooks, knowledge articles, troubleshooting steps, and standards. Work closely with Security, Identity, Cloud Engineering, and Collaboration teams. Partner with business units on SharePoint use cases and adoption. Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with cloud-only Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, and modern identity and access management practices. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments, including operational support models and user enablement efforts. Experience designing or extending SharePoint integrations, enterprise connectors, and Microsoft Graph-based solutions that support search, governance, or content access. Proficiency with PowerShell for scripting, automation, bulk administration tasks, and use of AI-enabled tools and capabilities, including Copilot. Hands-on experience with Power Automate, eShare, or similar workflow and governance tools.
