Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Golang Developer for a long-term remote contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, distributed systems, and cloud-native application design. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, efficient, and reusable code in Golang.

• Develop microservices, APIs, and backend components for scalable systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product management.

• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow best practices in version control and testing.

• Work with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and help improve system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in Golang.

• Strong experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API development.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).

• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Jenkins.

• Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pub/Sub).

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance tuning.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data pipelines or data migration.

• Exposure to DevOps tools and cloud-native development practices.

• Prior experience in Agile environments.
