Job Description

We are seeking a strong QA Specialist / QA Tester to support quality assurance activities for a large computer-based organization. The ideal candidate will have solid experience developing and implementing quality control methodologies, defining quality metrics, conducting software evaluations, and participating in reviews throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with QA standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Define major and minor quality characteristics, quality metrics, and scoring parameters.
• Determine appropriate quality control resources required for task orders and project activities.
• Establish and maintain processes for evaluating hardware, software, applications, and associated documentation.
• Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal quality reviews at predetermined points throughout the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing as required.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects/issues through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor and report quality metrics, testing progress, defects, and overall QA status.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and testing methodologies.
• Utilize modern testing tools and AI-assisted QA/testing tools where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of QA / Quality Assurance / Software Testing experience.
• Experience working in a large computer-based organization with established QA processes.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing life cycles.
• Experience developing and implementing quality control methodologies and QA procedures.
• Experience defining and tracking quality metrics and scoring parameters.
• Experience evaluating software, hardware, and related technical documentation.
• Experience participating in formal and informal SDLC reviews.
• Strong defect tracking, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
