Role description:The Process Improvement Engineer supports a rapid and continuous improvement culture by becoming a process expert, identifying improvement opportunities, analyzing data, and helping to drive data-based decision-making. This role's primary responsibility is to improve plant performance.
Responsibilities:- Identify and pursue improvement opportunities both individually and as part of teams
- Develop expertise in multiple plant processes
- Help identify opportunities for improvement to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Become the plant specialist regarding all relevant data sources and analyses
- Help implement a culture of continuous improvement in the plant
- Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities
Minimum skills/qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- Working knowledge of various improvement methods and tools
- Self-motivated and passionate about process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience with analytical software (i.e. JMP or Minitab)
Preferred skills/qualifications: - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Prior experience working with group applications such as SAP and Business Warehouse
