As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and verification of digital and power portions of wireless designs across all Apple products. The applicant should be familiar with computer system architecture, digital design and power distribution networks. The candidate will work proactively with various cross-functional engineering groups responsible for other blocks in the system. May require traveling internationally.
In this role you will drive end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge wireless systems, from schematic and layout implementation to bring-up and validation of digital interfaces and power supplies. Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and silicon teams as well as external chipset vendors to deliver robust, high-performance mixed signal solutions.
BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience\nGood understanding of protocol specifications for communication interfaces like PCIe, MIPI, I2C, SPI, UART, etc. \nExperience with power supply/power management and power distribution networks\nHands on debug experience with usage of modern lab equipment (DSOs, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers)
MSEE preferred\nExperience leading projects from definition stage to mass production with minimal supervision.\nProven track record of leading project teams to complete projects or key components of the project\n5+ years of experience delivering consumer electronic products is preferred\nExperience in architectural discussion with cross-functional leaders related to Power supply and Digital design for the connectivity HW and able to influence product direction for these designs\nExperience with power supply/power management\nHands on debug experience with usage of modern lab equipment (DSOs, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers)\nExperience in writing basic software routines and test scripts\nStrong desire to investigation system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive demeanor\nExperience with mobile and/or embedded processors and memory systems\nExperience with schematic capture/layout\nExperience interacting with offshore manufacturing partners\nSuccessful track record of delivering highly innovative communications products\nExperience with high volume, low power, mobile products
