Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

Lead fossil fuel fired thermal power, utility projects like captive & cogen power plants.

Perform and review mechanical system studies and engineering calculations.

Ensure compliance with local mechanical codes, utility requirements, and regulatory standards.

Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, EPC contractors, and project stakeholders.

Support factory inspections, vendor evaluations, installation reviews, and site activities.

Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and project execution phases.

Participate in technical reviews, constructability assessments, and equipment evaluations.

Balance of Plant systems such as DM water, Desal water, Cooling Water, Service/ Potable water, Wastewater, Air, Fuel Oil, Fuel Gas, Chemical dosing, Sampling, Diesel Generator, N2/CO2 systems etc.,

Electrolyser and Associated Systems

Green H2 Storage and Compressor Systems

Balance of plant systems related to Green H2

Mechanical Equipment Specifications

Technical Datasheets

Vendor Document Reviews

Bill of Quantities (BOQ)

Construction and As-Built Documentation

Any other documents applicable for the plants/ projects mentioned herein

Extensive experience on power generation, utility (captive & cogen power plants), and Green H2 projects.

Experience in Thermal Power, Green H2, Renewable Energy, and BESS.

Proficient in BOQ preparation and material estimation.

Strong knowledge of U.S. engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience with mechanical design, piping, HVAC, and utility systems.

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Smart 3D, Aveva E3D, Revit MEP, AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, HAP (Carrier), PIPE-FLO, SolidWorks, NAVISWORKS, Smart Sketch and/ or similar tools.

Strong multidisciplinary coordination with Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls and Project Engineering teams.

Excellent technical review, stakeholder management, and client communication skills.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level engineers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Confident and positive attitude; eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas.

Ability to build and harbour good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients;

Ability to work independently for core tasks and reach out for specialized expertise when needed.

Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams with members based in various global regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.S.) or Master's Degree (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BE/ BS)/ Master's degree(MS) in Electrical Engineering.
