Senior Business Analyst (ERP / Financial Systems)


Role Summary


Seeking a senior-level Business Analyst to support ERP-driven financial systems and integrations. This is a hands-on, no hand-holding role requiring someone who can work directly with engineers and business stakeholders, drive clarity in ambiguous environments, and produce highly structured, detailed requirements.


This role sits within a cross-functional team supporting financial workflows, ERP systems, and integrated applications.

Must-Have Qualifications



  • Senior Business Analyst with strong enterprise experience

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (R12 preferred) or SAP ERP

  • Solid understanding of financial processes (PTP, OTC)

  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts (debits/credits, working with finance teams)

  • Basic SQL skills for data extraction and analysis

  • Proven ability to work directly with engineers and senior business stakeholders

  • Strong experience writing detailed, structured requirements (not just high-level)

  • Ability to operate independently with minimal direction


Key Responsibilities



  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional and technical requirements

  • Work closely with engineering teams to translate business needs into solutions

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define workflows across financial and ERP systems

  • Support system integrations across Oracle-based tools and custom applications

  • Drive clarity in ambiguous or partially defined processes

  • Participate in testing (UAT, test cases, validation) and production support

  • Assist with process documentation, training materials, and user support

  • Analyze issues, identify root causes, and support resolution in production environments


Environment / Tech Stack



  • ERP: Oracle R12 (preferred), SAP, or similar

  • Tools: Agile PPM, OBIEE, SharePoint, custom applications

  • Integrations: Oracle ecosystem, Java-based systems, BPM tools


Nice to Have



  • Experience in media / entertainment / publishing environments

  • Exposure to custom financial systems or payment platforms

  • Background working with high-level business leadership
