ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is a lead provider of highly specialized engineering products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. We work within the IC to understand their requirements and shape concepts of operation. We design, develop, and deliver exquisite capability across their mission set using commercially available and custom hardware and software. We provide critically needed capabilities that address our customers' most pressing national security requirements.

ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Software Engineer focused on AI/ML to join our rapidly growing team in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy innovative AI/ML-driven solutions that directly impact critical projects. You will work on cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts that use cutting-edge AI/ML technologies to bring leading-edge capabilities to mission solutions including LLMs, object recognition, audio processing, and other hard problems.
  • Architect, deploy, and optimize AI/ML systems, focusing on efficient inference, robust model management, and reliable performance across production environments.
  • Develop software with full-stack developers, product managers, hardware engineers, and subject matter experts to transform mission requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Deploy solutions into a variety of environments from compute constrained edge systems to GPU powered clusters.
  • Continuously assess and integrate state-of-the-art AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, vLLM), models, and methodologies that drive industry innovation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • 3+ years of experience working on AI/ML tech stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Windows and Linux Development Experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in deploying, serving, and tuning AI/ML models to meet strict operational requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with end-to-end AI workflows that span from research prototyping to production-level deployments.
  • Experience developing full-stack software.
  • Experience with embedded systems and deployment of software and AI/ML models to edge systems.

US Salary Range

$166,000-$220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
