Test Engineer Android/Linux Embedded System Performance and Stability Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Execute stability, endurance, and performance tests on embedded software systems.
- Analyze logs, crash reports, performance metrics, and test results to identify software issues.
- Investigate failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Work directly with software developers to drive bugs through resolution.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to improve automation and testing efficiency.
- Enhance existing stability and performance testing frameworks.
- Create and improve test scenarios that uncover system bottlenecks and reliability concerns.
- Own testing activities from execution through bug closure with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Experience - 2-5+ years of experience in software testing, validation, integration, or embedded systems engineering.
- Experience working with embedded systems.
- Strong Linux and/or Android OS experience.
- Experience performing stability, endurance, performance, or reliability testing.
- Basic Android debugging experience.
- Ability to analyze logs, trace failures, and identify crash signatures.
- Experience with root cause analysis and defect investigation.
- Python scripting/programming experience.
- Experience partnering directly with software developers to resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications - Consumer electronics experience (smart devices, mobile devices, iot, Android-based products, wearables, etc.).
- Automotive software or embedded vehicle systems experience.
- Exposure to Android Automotive OS.
- Familiarity working around software written in Java, Rust, C++, or similar languages.
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, certifications, or other examples of continuous learning.
