ECS is seeking a Systems Analyst to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking Systems Analyst to support multiple teams across the program. The IT Systems Analyst plays a key role in improving business processes, enhancing system performance, and ensuring the reliable operation of enterprise technology across the CDM program. This position combines hands-on technical support with analytical problem-solving, serving as a bridge between internal CAASM team, IT leadership, technical teams, and vendors. The Systems Analyst tracks vendor management tickets, gathers feedback, identifies opportunities for improvement, and enhancements, and helps optimize how feature enhancements are incorporated into CAASM tools.

  • Work with various teams to create, analyze vendor tickets, and track progress. Gather user feedback and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience across the program.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define requirements and produce specifications for new or updated systems, workflows, and integrations.
  • Work with vendors to drive tool updates and feature requests from initial submission to delivery.
  • Analyze CAASM system performance, gather user feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience across the organization.
  • Document and maintain processes relevant to team functionality.
  • Provide clear, timely updates in help desk tickets, projects, and documentation to support transparency and accurate progress tracking.
  • Participate in special projects, technology rollouts, system upgrades, and other initiatives as required.
  • Support system enhancements and software changes by following established change management processes and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training to employees to help them effectively use IT systems, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented, effective interpersonal skills, strong organization skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, technical documentation skills and a strong work ethic that is proactive and self-motivated.

  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment and work as part of a fast-paced collaborative team.
  • Experience with common SIEM technologies with emphasis on Elastic, through on-the-job experience, internships, or projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to research and document findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of SIEM ingestion data flows and networking concepts .
  • Familiarity with federal compliance standards, including M-21-31, and ability to assess maturity and identify areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity field, including advanced threat landscapes, security protocols, and cyberattack methodologies.
  • Support and contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for SIEM planning and implementation processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure a smooth migration to the SIEMaaS platform.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools, including Atlassian Jira;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including customer and employee engagement;
  • A demonstrated aptitude for complex problem solving, and leading teams to success.

  • Experience in JIRA
  • Understanding of SDLC
  • Experience with COTS products and API Integrations
  • Experience in product release planning and management
  • Experience managing DHS Programs
  • Experience supporting Elastic deployments and implementations
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI) for automating Elastic workflows
