Summary
Overview
A well-established professional services organization is seeking a Technology Specialist to support daily technology operations and serve as the primary point of contact for system access and technical support. This role reports to the Director of Technology and plays a key part in maintaining secure, efficient, and reliable technology systems across the organization.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable supporting both hardware and software environments while partnering with leadership to drive effective technology adoption.
Responsibilities
Maintain and manage encryption records for all company-issued devices including computers, tablets, and smartphones
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of employee hardware in alignment with company policies
Provide direct technical and application support for Microsoft Office products and CRM systems
Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software, and related technology assets
Partner with leadership to establish technology-related goals and communicate expectations across the organization
Develop action plans to address technology gaps and improve system utilization
Manage and distribute technical resource materials to ensure users have appropriate support documentation
Troubleshoot desktop, application, and system-related issues in a timely manner
Track and document support requests, preparing monthly reporting summaries with recommendations
Administer hardware and software updates to maintain system integrity and performance
Communicate system outages and provide estimated resolution timelines
Schedule and conduct periodic on-site and remote maintenance as needed
Configure, update, and maintain PCs, file servers, and peripheral equipment
Facilitate onboarding of new team members by introducing them to company technology systems
Communicate updates regarding system changes, security alerts, and technology enhancements
Ensure compliance with internal technology policies and escalate concerns when necessary
Support telephone and voicemail system administration
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of desktop support, hardware configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms
Familiarity with device encryption standards and security best practices
Ability to manage technology inventories and system documentation
Experience administering hardware and software updates
Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Proven ability to track support requests and produce summary reporting
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting distributed or multi-office environments
Background in professional services or regulated industries
Exposure to network infrastructure and file server administration
Experience managing telephony systems
