We are looking for a talented "AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System Engineering Technician" to support ongoing submarine modernization efforts. This is a full-time position working out of Groton, CT.

If you are comfortable in intense, fast-paced environments, can think on your feet, and can excel in team-based collaborative efforts, then this may be the right job for you.

The Engineering Technician will perform technical evaluations and required corrective actions for the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System in accordance with DoD and U.S. Navy Maintenance Procedures, and Cyber System instructions.

Travel: up to 10%

You Will:
  • Provide support in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, operation of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System in accordance with engineering specifications
  • Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
  • Assist with testing and evaluations; perform validations/verifications of the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
  • Assist in the disassembly, reassembly, installation and testing of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System
  • Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI's)
  • Develop technical and/or engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
  • Be the direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
  • Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts

You Have:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing computer networking equipment and Windows Servers and Workstations
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to quality and teamwork
  • A passion for learning
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Education/Experience:
  • Technical (Military/Trade) school/training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience

We Would Be Impressed If You Had:
  • U.S. Navy Combat Systems and network equipment experience
  • AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System Experience
