Job Title: AWS GovCloud Engineer

Location: Remote

Experience: 4–8 Years


Job Summary

We are seeking an AWS GovCloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure cloud solutions in AWS GovCloud environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with regulated workloads, ensuring compliance with government standards, and maintaining high levels of security and availability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure in AWS GovCloud (US) regions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (FedRAMP, ITAR, HIPAA as applicable)
  • Implement and manage secure cloud architectures using AWS best practices
  • Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, and CloudTrail
  • Monitor systems using CloudWatch and implement logging/auditing solutions
  • Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Manage identity and access controls with strict security policies
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams for audits and risk assessments
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud environments
  • Understanding of compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST, etc.)
  • Experience with IAM, VPC, networking, and security best practices
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform / CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security models
  • Experience working with government or highly regulated environments
