Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UNIX, Perl, C, CGI, Apache, Sybase, and messaging interfaces (IBM MQ preferred) and a proven ability to analyze, develop, test, and implement changes across mainframe-integrated applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, program, and implement changes in diverse mainframe-based applications.
- Design, execute, and document unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, timely releases.
- Work with minimal supervision and coordinate with subject matter experts as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with UNIX and Perl.
- Working knowledge of C with ability to make minor changes, compile, and deploy.
- Experience with messaging interfaces, preferably IBM MQ.
- Working knowledge of Sybase, including query tuning and database modeling.
- Experience with mainframe connectivity, including Shadow Direct.
- Working knowledge of CGI programming and Apache Web Servers.
- Ability to take ownership, work in a team environment, and meet critical delivery dates.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of .NET and Java.
Interview Process & Notes:
- Start date: ASAP.
- Onsite requirement: 3 days per week in Jersey City, NJ.
- Two interview rounds. In-person or virtual options. 2-3 interviewers per round.
