Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sr. Product Manager with strong experience in the Merchant Acquiring or Embedded Finance Domain. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams driving clarity through detailed product documentation, transaction and funding flow design, and precise technical collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Required experience
- 5+ years in payments product management or solutions architecture roles.
- Proven experience documenting and operationalizing end-to-end payment flows, from customer initiation through settlement and payout.
- Strong understanding of ledgering concepts and balance behavior. Comfortable explaining pending vs available, posting events, adjustments, holds/reserves, and reconciliation drivers.
- Experience coordinating across engineering, ops, risk/compliance, and client-facing teams in regulated or high-control environments.
- Demonstrated ability to produce crisp documentation such as swimlanes, state diagrams, event catalogs, and requirements that teams actually use.
Strongly preferred
- Experience with platforms/marketplaces and multi-party money movement (seller payouts, splits, fees, reserves).
- Familiarity with payout rails and concepts such as ACH, RTP, wires, push-to-card/OCT, wallets, and payouts.
- Experience collaborating on developer-facing products (APIs, webhooks, event models, idempotency, status semantics).
- Prior experience in payment operations, reconciliation, disputes/chargebacks, or funds movement controls.
Skills and working style
- Excellent written communication with a bias toward clear, durable artifacts.
- Strong facilitation skills to drive decisions and alignment in ambiguous areas.
- Comfortable operating as a “glue” role. Can translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while still surfacing executive-level summaries.
Tools and documentation formats (expected)
- Ability to create professional diagrams and structured documentation in tools like Confluence, Miro/Lucidchart, Jira, and PowerPoint.
- Comfort working with API specs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and event schemas at a conceptual level (not coding, but precise definitions).
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certification in Agile / Scrum or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
