Job Title: Tenable One Implementation Engineer - 14+ yrs Exp

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Led at least one production Tenable One implementation end to end as the lead or primary implementation engineer
  • Hands-on design and deployment of Tenable One, Tenable Vulnerability Management, Nessus scanners, agents and connectors, including credentials, repositories, roles, tags, groups and access controls
  • Configured credentialed and non-credentialed scanning: scanner placement, scan zones, policies, schedules, exclusions, authentication and performance tuning
  • Asset discovery, tagging, reconciliation, coverage validation and scan-health monitoring across cloud, on-premises, remote and internet-facing assets
  • Integrated Tenable with ServiceNow or similar ITSM and vulnerability-response workflows, SIEM platforms, asset sources, identity systems and reporting tools, using REST APIs and connectors
  • Troubleshooting scanner connectivity, credential failures, agent health, connector and API errors, duplicate assets, data-quality and platform performance issues
  • Secure operations: least-privilege and role-based administration, secure storage and rotation of scanning credentials, audit logging and safe-scan controls
  • Pilot, phased rollout, cutover, production validation and handoff to operations, including administrator training and knowledge transfer
  • Produces deployment architecture diagrams, configuration records, test results, troubleshooting guides, operating procedures, dashboards and reports
  • Tenable, vulnerability-assessment, cloud, ITIL or security certifications are a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Design the Tenable One deployment architecture, including scanner, agent, connector, credential, network-access and data-flow requirements
  • Install, configure and validate Tenable One components, Nessus scanners, agents, connectors, repositories, tags, groups, roles and access controls
  • Configure vulnerability assessments, scan policies, schedules, exclusions and performance settings
  • Onboard cloud, on-premises, remote, internet-facing, identity and web-application asset sources
  • Integrate Tenable One with ITSM, SIEM, asset-management, API and reporting systems
  • Validate asset discovery, duplicate handling, coverage, scan health, exposure analytics, prioritization, dashboards and reporting
  • Run the pilot, phased rollout, production validation, defect resolution, cutover and transition to operations across multiple sites
  • Coordinate technical dependencies, risks, issues, changes and implementation status with client teams and the vendor
