Position: Lead Network Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6-12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise network assessments across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Evaluate Cisco switching, wireless, Meraki, SD-WAN, VeloCloud, and Cisco ACI architectures.
• Review routing, switching, segmentation, resiliency, failover, security, and cloud connectivity designs.
• Identify architecture gaps, operational risks, single points of failure, and scalability challenges.
• Develop target-state architectures, transformation strategies, and remediation roadmaps.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and present findings to both technical teams and executive leadership.
• Deliver executive-level reports including network assessments, gap analyses, and strategic recommendations.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of enterprise network experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• Cisco SD-WAN
• Cisco Meraki
• Cisco ACI / Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Cisco Enterprise Routing & Switching
• VeloCloud SD-WAN
• Network Security Architecture
• Hybrid Cloud Connectivity (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with network resiliency, disaster recovery, segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and operational monitoring.
