Summary

Job Title: Sr .Net Engineer (Backend)
Location:Fremont, California (Onsite Interviews)
Duration:12+ Months
Local Candidates only
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to help design, build, and maintain backend services that power vehicle pricing, ordering, and digital commerce experiences. You will collaborate closely with our Sr. and Staff Software Engineers in Vehicle Configurator and Vehicle Pricing to extend core platforms and ship high impact features quickly and safely. This is a hands on engineering role focused on building robust, scalable .NET services and integrations in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) for pricing, configuration, and order management flows consumed by web and mobile clients.
Extend and integrate with existing Digital Experience services that manage vehicle data, pricing rules, promotions, taxes, and fees across multiple markets.
Implement reliable integrations with internal platforms (payments, financing, fulfillment, identity, inventory, and catalog systems) to support end to end ecommerce and ownership experiences.
Optimize services for performance, scalability, and resilience, including caching strategies, database access, background processing, and failover patterns.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend/mobile engineers to refine requirements, define service contracts, and deliver features incrementally.
Contribute to code quality through code reviews, automated testing, monitoring, and observability best practices (logging, metrics, alerts, dashboards).
Participate in technical design discussions, propose pragmatic solutions, and help break down large projects into executable milestones suitable for a contract engagement.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement robust fixes with a focus on long term stability.
Required skills and experience:
  • 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on building production services in .NET / C#
  • 4+ years of related practical experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in full stack development
  • Knowledge about JavaScript (ES5/6), HTML, CSS, and the React framework for building intuitive frontend interfaces
  • Familiarity with AI integration, including LLMs for tasks like generating pricing insights and agentic AI workflows for adaptive user experiences
  • Deep experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices that support high traffic, customer facing applications.
  • Strong proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar), data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Hands on experience with message queues, event driven architectures, or background job processing frameworks in the .NET ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts: scalability, concurrency, transactions, idempotency, and fault tolerance.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD practices, source control (Git), and automated testing (unit, integration, contract tests) for backend services.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a fast moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of collaborating effectively with cross functional partners (product, design, frontend/mobile, QA).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in ecommerce, pricing engines, subscriptions, or billing/financial services platforms.
  • Experience working with Javascript, GO , Java, Python
  • Familiarity with front end technologies or patterns (React, TypeScript, or similar) sufficient to design clean service contracts and debug end to end flows.
  • Experience with cloud hosted .NET services (e.g., Kubernetes, containerized workloads, cloud databases, and caching layers).
  • Background working in high growth product companies or on mission critical customer journeys at scale.
