Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Systems Administrator. The designated candidate will join a collaborative team environment, providing support necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a Linux and Windows based cloud environment, including virtual resources for applications in development and production.
- Design solutions to improve performance and security for the client s Red Hat Linux servers and configure enterprise services such as Email, Single Sign-On (SSO) and DNS.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported via Service Desk systems and automated monitoring is required.
- Perform patch management across all environments and monitor system performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
- 5+ years experience with Windows Server administration, networking, and system administration background.
- 5+ years of experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL) including patching and maintenance
- Experience with leveraging version control systems on team-based projects (GitLab)
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon Cloud Services
- Experience with Active Directory (Windows AD, ADFS, Kerberos, and SAML)
- Experience with Gitlab (Intermediate)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration (Intermediate)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) (Advanced)
- Experience with Active Directory (AD) (Intermediate)
- Experience with Shell Scripting (Intermediate)
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to architect enterprise solutions including data, display, and information architecture
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
- Comfortable working with automation tools by writing/modifying scripts for development, maintenance and system monitoring using Python and other scripting languages
- Experience deploying open-source and custom applications (Drupal, React, and NodeJS)
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Certification: AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
