Summary

Job Title: Oracle OIPA Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN / Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle OIPA Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) to support the RiverSource business. The role involves working closely with business analysts, technology teams, and project stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions aligned with business and technical strategies. The candidate will also provide technical guidance throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5–7+ years of experience with Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).
  • 5–7 years of experience with SQL and XML.
  • Strong knowledge of OIPA Rules Palette, Rules, Activity/Transaction configuration, Admin and Plan rules, AS Tables, Plan/Product configuration, Segments & Elements, Security roles, Single policy fixes, and Policy lifecycle modeling for annuity products.
  • Experience with API integrations and Java development.
  • Knowledge of Fixed, Indexed, Variable, and Registered Annuities, including surrender charges, riders, premium allocation, annuity lifecycle events, contract value, fees & charges, interest calculations, and payout options.
  • 2–3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server Management Studio, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Strong experience in SQL development, including writing views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Ability to write high-quality code following best practices and development standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
