Job Purpose

This position focuses on developing data-driven insights to support centrifugal compressors Design optimization, performance improvement, and reliability enhancement, enabling data-informed engineering decisions by analyzing test data, field operation data, and simulation results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digitalization & Tools Development
  • Collect lab performance testing data and field running data of centrifugal compressors.
  • Build automated data processing pipelines and databases.
  • Apply statistical methods to identify deviations and trends.
  • Analyze compressor thermodynamic performance
  • Develop predictive models for centrifugal compressor performance.
  • Develop customized software and interface for applications.

2. New Product Development
  • Support aerodynamic and structural design validation through data analysis
  • Perform trend analysis on vibration, temperature, bearings, and sealing systems.
  • Support digital twin and smart monitoring/diagnostics platforms
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and support FMEA activities
  • Support customer validation tests and provide technical data analysis

Educational and Professional Qualifications
  • Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Machinery, Data Science & Applied Mathematics or other related areas
  • More than 7 years (MS) or 4 years (PhD) working experience in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.

Requirements and Attributes
  • Solid understanding of centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.
  • Familiarity with compressor performance maps.
  • HVAC or industrial compressor experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to develop customized software and interface for applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
